San Antonio, TX, Jan. 2012 “Imitation is the Sincerest of Flattery” or so penned Charles Colton in 1820. To this extent the Quarry Hofbrau restaurant is particularly flattered. On opening night in May 2010, the Hofbrau introduced to San Antonio a very unusual drink…the Dos a Rita. It was certainly one of numerous exceptional features placed on display on the first night and founder Beau Roby effortlessly took his award winning Margarita recipe and combined it with an inverted bottle of Dos Equis . Within months other regional bars and restaurants added a similar alcoholic beverage to the menu …some calling it a Dos a Rita…others trying to make another name for it. In the interim the Hofbrau management quickly created numerous other combinations to go with the Margarita base and at present has over ten other very popular Margarita companion combinations.. In 2011 the drink and its adaptations became so popular a exclusive Dos a Rita menu was essential at the restaurant to effectively promote the offering.

To prove this point one could simply rely on Google to identify how renowned the Dos a Rita has become. And they will also confirm that the Hofbrau remains to be the place to enjoy the authentic creation. Even though its reputation has spread city/state-wide, it is considerably common to hear comments that confirm that there is still some thing singularly magical, mystical and authentic about the Quarry Hofbrau’s authentic signature drink.
